Alienware Aurora R4 Crashing and loud fan
Hello Alienware Community.
Recently I have been having some problems with my 6 month old alienware aurora. In the last 3 months or so my computer has had a very very very loud fan, and in the last week or two it has now been crashing after 5-10 minutes of use even when its is not running any programs. Just today I finally got to cleaning out the fan, and i just used a toothbrush and paper towel. The cleaning helped for the first 2 minutes of the launch up but then it finally crashed around 12 minutes of use. I would like to do a system check and a virus scan but the computer just crashes half way through the downloads/ scans. Please Help.

Hello Downdead4!
You can start by running a PSA diagnostic.
After that if you are able to boot into safe mode if will be great if you can run the programs on this article so we can check if the system is overheating.

I started running the diagnostic and it crashed half way through, my guess is that the processor is toast because the temp is incredibly high like 104 degrees. Today i also cleaned the fan with compressed air and it didn't help at all.

I haven't opened the liquid cooling system up yet, but the temperatures in that thread before he cleaned it are the exact same number I had when I checked. I need to pick up some thermal paste from my gaming computer distributor and I will check the liquid cooling system. If I have any more problems I will contact you.
