Alienware Aurora r3 + Revodrive Issues
Hi everyone.
Does anyone use revodrive with their aurora r3? folks at OCZ say you need custom bios to manually set 2nd pci-e slot to 8x since other hosts video card which resets it to 1x?
Can someone provide some insight?

According to the R3 (Sandy Bridge) manual ... when 2 cards are installed in both of the x16 slots, they both run at x8 max.

Thanks for the reply. According, sure but not what happens. I tried each in either slot with video in other. If video drivers not installed (just shows default video adapter), revodrive does 520 read/write, as soon as you install video and card belows geforce gtx580, drives drops to 200/200 read/write. Same with both slots.
even 8x is fine for both video card and revodrive. revodrive only needs 4xc pci-e.
