Alienware Aurora r4 - Stuck at Windows startup splash screen

Sorry if my response shows up as one long stream. Ever since a site upgrade I can't post paragraphs anymore.................. You need to trouble shoot. Select Accessories/command prompt (right clock on command prompt) and select Run as Administrator....................At prompt type, sfc/scannow ...............this will check for missing or corrupt files and repair if possible............. If corrupt files are found but not repaired, restart computer and run again to see if it correct the next time.................... You can also go into Administrative Tools, select System Congiguration. Once there select Startup Tab and disable all. Then go back and Select just the Microsoft programs................................ Reboot and see if you still have a problem. If everything is OK go back and reselect a few at a time to see if the proble reappears and then narrow it down to the software causing the problem.......................... You can also select Accessories/System Tools/System Information and check the various subsytems. Check the column for STATUS and an OK for each item listed.........................
