Hi,

Check this article and run the AlienFX tester (Video: Test your system lights using the AlienFX Tester), if lights are working, you'll need to follow ALL the steps on How to Remove and Reinstall the Alienware Command Center | Dell US (deleting registries, folders, ext).

Let me know!

When I run the Alienware Tester it says this: "It seems there is some problem with the AlienFX board."

I am starting to think this might be a hardware issue but no clue as to what caused it.

If the system is still under warranty, you can send me a private message and we can gladly send the system to our repair center.

Remove main battery and dissipate the "flea power" by pressing Power Button a few times. Maybe let it sit there for a while (hours).

See if AlienFX circuit will respond after that.

Some Alienware laptops have special RESET JUMPER PADS on motherboard.

The technical term for this is a "Housewife-Reset" (and no, it's not in the handbook).

I had the same problem with the AlienFX Controller of my Alienware M14x once, and that did the trick ...

Just tried this and no luck. I might have to accept the lights no longer work or take it into a computer repair place and see what they can do.

It sounds like you had a minor problem that you accidentally made worse by doing a Windows-10 Reset (erase system and load Microsoft defaults).

I think your system might need to have the custom Dell and Alienware software and drivers re-installed before it will have full functionality.

If you want to, you can call Alienware Phone Support and they should be able to assist you in getting the system software reinstalled and configured.

Thanks Tesla, I managed AleinFX Lights to work. But I am missing Alienware 17 R4 Stock Theme that came with my machine. I am struggling to get that theme back.

IIRC, forum users report that it's Windows Default.
