Alienware FX no longer working in-game
Hi there,
I have an Alienware 17, and was enjoying the AlienFX modes in games like Payday 2, when all of a sudden the games stopped changing my laptop's lights. I thought it might have just been a Payday 2 update messing up the game's AlienFX, but I tried out Hotline Miami and it no longer used AlienFX either, even though the option in both games was turned on. My LEDs are working just fine, I can set different themes, I can change them manually in the testing program, and the iTunes visualiser works fine, the games just don't want to trigger AlienFX for whatever reason.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Command Center twice, as per the instructions in this article, but that didn't fix the problem. I also updated my BIOS but that didn't fix anything either.
Has anyone else had this problem, and is there an easy fix? Thanks in advance

The FX started working again all of the sudden! :D Not sure what the problem was, but thanks for your help regardless!

Have you tried enabling 3rd party FX? Right click on the Alienhead that's on the taskbar and select that option.

Yep, I've tried running the games with it enabled and disabled but neither made a difference

Have you tried all this? Specially the .Net Framework part.

I tried the .NET things, but some of them are built into the Windows 8 OS and as far as I can tell I can't uninstall those ones. I also tried the battery drain, but that didn't work either.
