Alienware Graphics Amplifier - or the Amplifier of problem!?

specs of my computer system which I recently purchased from DELL company
Alienware 13 (R3)
Alienware Graphics Amplifier

After purchased all this computer equipment the problem is started, the Alienware Graphics Amplifier Turns On/Off Repeatedly,
then boot Windows OS after a lot of times.
the Graphics Amplifier and Asus GTX 1080 turbo has some issue with together.
Video Card ASUS GTX1080 Turbo have some problem with compatibility, as said some technician guy.
I figured out about this a problem in this forum.
why it's problem it have, if Officialy DELL Alienware said - Graphics Amplifier compatible with GeForce GTX1080!
Then, after i figure out about incompatible the ASUS Video card I change ASUS to Nvidia GTX 1080 Founders Edition.
It's in particular officialy MUST to work with the Alienware Graphics Amplifier.
Because the Nvidia GTX 1080 Founders Edition it's the Original of originals!
BUT Alienware Graphics Amplifier keep Turns On/Off Repeatedly with Nvidia GTX 1080 Founders Edition too!
Right now I have very expensive the DELL Alienware computer system with serious problem....
Please, computer technicians, say something about this!

For update

Graphics Amplifier Turns On/Off Repeatedly, then boot after a lot of times

sometimes the system started in first time, sometimes with error -"Unrecognized device in Alienware Amplifier" Each time a different situation, never repeats, each time different

When computer finally  boot the Win 10 system then all work fine, without any other issues

Steps, wich I did with my Alienware system

1. Readed user manual how correct install the Alienware Amplifier  (Follow this instruction, ofcourse)

2. Reinstalled All drivers, old one and newest a lot of times and in different combination

3. Cleaned all connectors , cables and boards for good contact.

4. change the Amplefier Power Supply to another one, more powerfull

5. Install ASUS GTX 1080 Turbo an then chenge to NVIDIA GTX 1080 Founders Edition

6. Etc.

All this steps  did not help fix this issue!

If you know what is problem is, i will be very appreciate for help or information about how fix this problem

one day ago i received another Alienware Amplifier - problem is still have!
It's looks like the Laptop BIOS can not switch correctly between GPUs .

Any way It's famous glitch, not recognize Video Card correctly.
I think only Alienware "engineers" know what problem it is.
Dear Alienware engineers, Do you fix its problem in nearest future?

I have the same issue.  I press the power button and I hear the laptop boot but the screen remains black.  The laptop then turns off for 1 or 2 seconds, then it boots back up fully.  This happens every time while using the graphics amplifier.  I have the 17 r3.  My card is the Nvidia GTX 1070 Founders.  I hope there is a fix.

Also, is this harmful to my laptop or the graphics card/amplifier?

actually, I fixed the issue yesterday in my case. Right now the ASUS GTX1080Turbo it WORKS in Alienware amplifier! Long story short - it's was wrong the power delivery on PCI-E port  for Graphic card  in "amplifier" and some problem with how BIOS recognize external GPU.

The Problem with the Graphic amplifier It's 100% the consequence of "engineers" from Alienware. They made a terribly schematics and design of board inside in Amplifier

and their very long data cable (length it's not good for digital signal high frequency).

it's miracle, I dont understand how it's still works in some cases with this "the bunch of glitches".

About your question - One off/on function equivalent approximately 6 hours of work electronics. It's means one off/on decrease lifetime on your laptop on 6 hours

P.S.

looks like this is only one way to fix the problem, to do this itself, because Alienware technicians ignored any requests for help. Customer service can't help in this case on phone because it's hardware issue. Hint for fix the problem like mine.  If you have some experience with soldering iron and schematics, you can fix it.

@JR_zx...On my laptop, when I shutdown the system and then unplug the amplifier, then press the power button, my laptop boot loops 2 times and then boots fully with the amplifier unplugged. This happens Everytime. Does your's do that?  Once my laptop boots fully with the amplifier unplugged, I can power down and the power on with no boot loops.  Because my laptop bootloops the first time I power it on without the amplifier being connected, it makes me think I have a different problem. I don't know what to do. From reading the forum's about this problem, it appears that calling Dell is a waist of time.

At the moment, after I repaired the problem of power delivery ,

my Alienware do the same like yours, i mean loops 2 times and then boot fully with the amplifier.

it's happen if system was unplugged from AC or was unplugged data cable.

It's looks like normal in our cases.

I try to figure out at this point, why is this happening with GTX10xx Video Cards,

i mean loops 2 times before start, because its not happen with previouse version of  Video Cards
