Alienware M15x horizontal lines taking over screen

Hi guys,

A few weeks ago, a horizontal flickering line appeared on my display. As time has progressed, more and more lines have began to form a block around the taskbar area at the bottom of my screen. I've updated my graphics drivers to the latest NVidia release and searched around the forums, but nothing seems to solve the issue.

When plugged into an external display via HDMI cable the external displays normally but still my screen has the flickering lines across.

The area with the lines seems to show a portion of the top of the screen, as shown in the attached photo.

Please help!
