Alienware M17x R4 Speakers sound Blown

recently bought a Alienware M17x and the speakers sound blown, I haven't listened to them up at full volume i noticed it when i played some Simon And Garfunkel (and others that's just what i happened to listen before i posted this) and all i could hear out the left speaker was what i could only describe as a farting sound where the bass should be. 

i have tried to turn the bass settings down from the default and get no improvement. 

Is there anyone out there with the same problems or would this equal a dell engineer to come out and replace the speakers?
