Alienware m17x r3 black screen/ not booting windows.
After installing a new video driver and restarting my latop, I can no longer boot into windows. I've tried running diagnostic and memory tests, they all passed. I've tried fully draining the power and using the fn+power and the d+power methods. Ive used the startup repair tool and it didnt work (but then again, it never works), system restore, alienrespawn restore/backup, I cant boot into startup, ive tried using the load last know configuration, pretty much everything I can think of and yet after the"starting windows" screen is done loading, the screen goes black with no backlight. HELP.

You can System Restore from Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Be sure you pick a point well before problem because you might only get one shot at it.

You can Dell Partition Restore without even entering into Windows. Only uses Recovery Console.

Hi!
Try to perform a clean Windows re-installation as explained on this video. To boot the CD, you can also access the Boot Manager or Boot Menu by pressing F12 repeatedly at the Alienware loading screen, and then choosing the option for the CD/DVD drive.
Let me know how it goes!
