Area 51 ALX USB 3 Ports
Hi Guys
I ordered a USB 3 controller for my Area 51 ALX. I've been through the Device Manager and noticed I have both a USB 3 NEC Hub installed and a few "USB Generic Hubs". I'm suspecting that the Generic are on the front bezel?
Does anyone actually know which are which? Or are they all USB 3?
The reason I ask is I went to the expense of buying an external WD My Book 3 (USB 3 enabled) as a backup drive specifically for this machine. So I want to make sure I connect it to the appropriate port.

I have a vision impairment so it wasn't as easily identifiable as you suggest :) . But nonetheless I have located them :)

Connect the WD USB3 drive to one of the ports on the USB3 Add-in card itself (in the back of PC ... down near the video card and other Add-in cards).
With a (easily identifiable) USB flash drive connected to one of the other built-in ports on the machine, you can change Device Manager to "View - Devices by Connection" to track down the other USB2 Hubs, and which external ports are fed by those hubs.
