Aurora-R4, Upgrading CPU

I'm considering to upgrade the CPU of my Alienware AURORA R4 with BIOS upgraded to A-11.

This is what I have now:

CPU- Intel Core i7 3960X  @ 3.30 GHz

Socket 2011 LGA

Mainboard - Alienware 07JNH0

Chipset - Intel Sandy Bridge-E

OS - Windows 10 (x64)

Please, can anybody tell my which is the highest CPU whithin this kind I should consider ?

Thank you very much

Correct. First, install the latest system bios. Make sure windows is operating correctly. Purchase some CPU thermal paste. I use Arctic Silver. Read through the Owner's Manual before starting.

Thank you very much Chris.

So, can I change  to a CPU Ivybridge E i7-4960X Six Core in my Aurora R4 without any more adaptations?
