I've just installed it and it works fine.

There's also a new bootscreen, know it shows the alienware head with red eyes and not only the white one.

I'll make some tests with my ASUS U3S6 wheather the performance is better.

If it's not broken don't fix it.

Cool. I'm tempted to try it, but I'm just so cautious about doing so. Afraid I might brick so I'd like to see other users' input & their experience.

What about enhancements?

Anyways, I randomly gambled on it & everything seems well. Never had the Sensor 3 issues & still don't. Only complaint on my end was the random side panel flashes of color...Not sure if that's fixed as I need more time to test.

I can't understand the problems of some users, it's already the second time I'm updating the BIOS of my Aurora ALX (within about 40 days ;) )

For me everything worked fine twice.

I updated my brand new Aurora to A08 and now I have a bricked computer (clicked on auroa exe file, then computer freezed and nothing), Techie from Dell has to replace the entire motherboard because Alienware is the only brand I know we cannot restore the bios using bios block protection. Aside of that, the computer is nice but I will never do any update again..

phewww, still shaking. Updated BIOS to A09 and when I restarted I got nothing on the screen. After freaking out for 3 minutes I checked the DVI cable and I dont know how the heck it got loose from the back of the monitor...Anyway, turned the PC off and back on again to time it. It now takes 2secs less than before from the time I press the power button to the time I get the Win logon screen..Total is 54secs....I thought we were gonna get 25% decrease in boot time like Chris said, but oh well I am happy the PC is still working!!  So far I have not had issues any of the issues related with CC nor BIOS....would be happier if my temps were lower though..

Great job for DELL guys! Well done! I'm more happy now whith your A09 Bios Updated.

The good:

1. Computer Boot Post Time= 12 Secs

2. Windows Pre-OS Time= 22 Secs

3. Windows Ready to use time= 10 Secs

4. For now lights are not flashing or blinking anymore.

The Bad:

1. The Bios Boot Alienware  Face looks horrible, it is shrink and crushed.

I'm running A01 bios with no issues. Taking into account the old saying..if is not broke don't fix it... whats the advantages of updating to A09 bios, if any?

Can you tell me if the Asus U3S6 would work with my Alienware Aurora mobo, I am interested in in buying the U3S6 but I'm not sure if it will work since the mobo is not Asus. I just don't want to have to go through the trouble of sending it back if it doesn't work.   I bought my aurora in june, I have the i7 version.

I don't see why not.

However, notice it needs a PCIe 4x slot (or greater). So, it has to be installed in the second long PCIe 16x slot (won't work with dual video cards).

Thanks, I was planning on putting it in the open x16 slot anyways so that works out.
