Aurora r4 extremely noisy fan, ePSA error code 2000-0314
I've ordered my Aurora r4 machine last September. Now the fans get extremely noisy even with very light load (e.g. a browser viewing this page).
I ran the ePSA test and got error code 2000-0314.
I also used RealTemp to see the CPU temperature. It could get 80+ without running anything heavy.
I downloaded the latest BIOS and the problem persists.
I do notice a similar thread which may have located my problem
http://en.community.dell.com/owners-club/alienware/f/3746/t/19516339.aspx
But since my machine is still under warranty, I do not want to deal with this myself. Could someone from Dell help me with this?
Thanks

LingRen, please check this article as it sounds like the computer might be overheating and let me know if the issue persists.

Hi Dani,
Thanks for the reply. I checked the article, cleaned the vents, updated the bios, and the problem persists.
CPUID says my CPUs are really hot, and it is true.
I opened my case. One of the tubes (of the water cooling system) is really hot and the other is cold. Does it mean that the pump is not working properly?
I even removed my pump and reset it, and it didn't work. Please do not count on me solving the problem myself any more. I really hope Dell can help me fix the problem, since the machine is still under warranty.

And here's why I am posting this here instead of calling the Dell support.
I did call, and the first thing they need is the name of the account.
I am affiliated with MIT. Dell has some contract with MIT, so that MIT can get discounts. So a staff at MIT worked together with a manager from Dell to place the order (which is the standard way that MIT orders machines from Dell). But neither of them knows which name to give for the support. I've tried all possible names (my name, the staff's name, the Dell manager's name, and several others) and none of them is correct.
I even have the confirmation email of this order, but there was not a single name on it. It only said ship to MIT Stata Center.
I understand that you need the name to help me; it's totally reasonable.
But who can help me with the situation? Is there any other way to prove that we (or MIT) do own this machine so that we can get help?
Thank you very much!

... or, just install a new Dell-AW-OEM Asetek cooler assembly.

Hi Tesla1856,
Thanks for the reply. I was aware of your article and I guess I am having the same problem as yours.
I did look at the pump but did not find the gelly thing in your article.
I am considering getting a new Dell-AW-OEM Asetek cooler assembly, but I still have the warranty and hope Dell can help me fix the problem.
Thank you for your help!
