Bought an older Alienware case, completely upgraded internals and now LEDs don't work?
So after finally tracking down an Alienware case. I went to rebuild everything from the ground up. After I get everything wired up and my OS installed I noticed my LEDs don't want to light up. I've even have them plugged into the power supply.
Do my LEDs not want to work because this was a propieatary thing? Or do I need to download some software?
I have windows 8.1 installed.
I can tell you that the case once held a p4 but I am not sure what model or generation that case is considered.
Thanks in advance for any input.

I know it's a pre 2009 case.

Hello! I am not familiar with that case and tried to look it up on Dell's support site but they do not go back past 2009 :-( However I can try and offer a tip or two. If the connectors for the LEDs are connected correctly (similar to how they would have been on the old Motherboard or PSU) then its possible you need the alienware software. I know today's alienware lighting system runs by the software to change it's colors etc. I would go to the support site and put in your Service Tag ID to get downloads for that machine when it was original, then from there see if you can find the Alienware Command Center or similar for the lighting effects.

If this is truly Pre-Dell, I call it Legacy Alienware.
You will have more luck on Origin Forums for Legacy-AW.
When you get a 2010 or newer Alienware ... come back here. [:)]

Anybody know of anyplace to dig up old info? The support guy said it needed an FX card. But I know that the MoBo that was inside the case (the original motherboard the case originally came with from manufacurer) did not include anything else.
