Fan on Start up & Shut down at 100%

Hello people.

There isnt alot to add really on what i have said in the Subject. When i turn the PC on the Fan gos to up what i can only discribe as 100% ( Jet Engine ) And it stays up to 100% all the way into the desktop screen and only when it seems the Sensors and Fans Apears on the bottom right side of the screen. When that happens the fans starts to slow down to its Normal speeds and the PC becomes quite once more.. Now this obviously is something not right and i am worried that something has been damaged inside the pc, Now im not a PC wiz and i am still fully covered by Dell for next day repairs but ide rather see if i can try a fix myself before getting someone to appear at my house. Again as mentioned on my Subject Shut down is the same when i select the option for a shut down the fans wiz themselfs back up to again what i can only describe as 100% and stays at 100% the power is completely off..  any help comes welcome for me.

on a side note the PC runs completely fine when it is operating ( and when the Fans stop going crazy ) .. FULL system checks and Dell checks come up with Zero issues ( all ticks )

If you need any information on what this pc is running feel free to ask .

Thanks

what is it: x51, Aurora, Aurora ALX, Area 51. Is it brand new, or used. Was it fine b4, then out of the blue does this, or are you the new owner & this is your 1st experience w/an A-ware.

For background, my Area 51, in Command Center > Active Venting I have a tick box called: "Flare up vents & fans @ startup". When the box is checked, on startup my system fans rev to life ... like throttling a car engine; ostensibly it's to serve all parties fair warning that my system is loaded with power & can shake the earth beneath it. The fans then slowly throttle down to a murmur. This is a design feature intended to intimidate the competition & gain points with your buddies, awestruck by the sound of the fire-breathing Dragon. A system that roars to life, imbuing its formidable nature, then settling back down, could be (& should be) quite normal for your model. One that replicates this behavior on power down doesn't ring true, may be a sign of something glitchy.

Begin by unchecking the flare fans box, if your CmndCntr has this feature.

Alternatively, you could unplug your pc, push the power button down for one minute, then startup again in a few minutes; this is the 'power dissipation reset' we've all learned to do, to tame the CmndCntr hardware. Attempting it 2-3 times would be normal & may be helpful.

Alternatively, you can go to the Forum splashpage & @ the top find: READ FIRST! Alienware Troubleshooting Articles by Model > from there, find your model & the article on how to uninstall/reinstall CmndCntr. Note the caveat that "uninstall/reinstall CC may take a few attempts until system returns to normal". You can launch CmndCntr, & under options, find your CC version & reinstall w/same version as you have now, as best advice. Report back if none of these garden variety cures work.

I'm not a resident Aurora guru; you can search Aurora windows 8 (or 8.1), see if you find similar problemos & cures on the forum. Glitchy CmndCntr post win8 rings true; your recent win8 install may be a clue, .netframework upd8's may wreak havoc, IDK; I'd give it 24-48 hours b4 your CC reinstall, wait for better advice & do a little forum research in the meantime - that's what I'd do.

Search terms could be Aurora windows 8 fans (lights, alienFx, Command Center etc). Best of luck

Edit: Example of typical ' Aurora windows 8 fans ' search term/result:

Never ever use your resource dvd to install CmndCntr (aka an "old version"); get your exact (newer) version online from Dell. This applies to Aurora/Area51, may or may not apply to x51

Right sorry for not adding the Additional information from the beginning. first of all thank you for a most speediness reply onto the matter.

The PC is a Alienware Aurora ALX matte black 875W

Chassis, Windows 8 64bit, english

memory 16384MB (4x4GB) 1699MHz DDR3 Quad channel

Video Card 4GB GDDr5 Nvidia Geforce GTX 690

hard drive 1TB Sata 6gb's 7200 rpm 32mb cache

windows 8.0 64bit ( Now 8.1 )

Intel Core i7-3829 four core 10mb cache 3.60 ghz

The Pc is approx 1 1/2 years old. now in that time the normal start up process was ide turn on the PC and the vents would flare with a little fan noise but nothing to extent it is doing currently.. So it was fine before this started happening,

This did start happening out of the blue. I did install lately  windows 8.1 but i high doubt it is a factor?

And i the New / Only owner of this PC, and this is my very first A-ware pc / first gaming pc.

AS i said before the vents always flared open and shut and open again with a small sounding of the fans to give off the impression but again it was never to the Extent is it at now. they always sounded a little and then slowly slowed to hum. I have just tired to Un-Clicking the Flare fan box and also your " Dissipation reset " only once. i will try it a few times more and see where its gets me..  before i move onto your suggestion of re-installing the Cmndcntr.
