Game APB Reloaded and Windows Keep Crashing After Automated Update for Alienware Catalyst

I have been playing this game, APB Reloaded, for a while now and never had this problem until a few days ago when I've got a message from Catalyst that there was an important update for Catalyst which I proceeded to download. 

I don't download Catalyst from AMD because I know it gives problems, but my Aurora R3 is set up to give me a message if there are any new downloads from Dell for Catalyst if they are available. 

Since downloading the new version of Catalyst I can't play the game for more than 5-15 minutes without a crash.  The same thing happens with IE7, more so if I am watching a video, or am watching a webpage which has ads.  I get several messages that windows has to close, and it needs to restart, and keep getting the same message like 4 times in a row.

Before this update I was having no issues whatsoever with either the game nor IE7, and now I can't neither play the game and can't watch videos in IE7 without crashes.

Why in the world do you guys release a new version Catalyst that it doesn't seem to have been throughly tested?

There is a saying: "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it".    Catalyst was working just fine, now I am trying to find the old version of Catalyst and can't find it anywhere, and since AMD's Catalyst version will give me problems now I don't know what to do.
