How do I check to see if my overclock was done?

I bought an Aurora with the 4.1 overclock.  But when I run CPUz it states the CPU is running at its default core of 3.4.  I has started another thread but it got deleted.  I don't know why.  If this is against the TOS please inform me.  I'm only trying to verify what I paid for.

Also, can Chris or another Dell rep please respond to my question about the Aurora leather bound manual?  My Aurora R3 did not come with a manual.

Thanks for your help.

CPUZ told me the same thing on my Aurora R4, which concerned me. I had to load over 10000 pictures at one time, so I watched what CPUZ was saying when I loaded those pictures. It was pretty steady at 4.0 and at times would bounce to 4.1 and one time even went to 4.2. So it must be you only get the top speeds under load. Also read somewhere that some of the cores are parked until their needed. Am sure Chis can give the reason why it's done that way. Whatever the reason, when it's needed it's there.

Try running CPU-ID TMonitor and Prime95 at the same time.

This is a good intel utility that will give you info on your processor.

You can also use the Microsoft turbo boost technology monitor.

BUT - be aware this program causes conflict and sometimes causes games to crash (well it has for me anyway - Crysis 3 and COD ghosts)
