M11XR2 AlienFX not working after Win64 fresh install
Everything worked just fine prior to the reformatting but I'm having a few troubles with Command Centre. The Alien Touch menu just shows a few alien characters, rather annoying that I can't customise it as I hit the touch pad with my thumbs when typing. Most importantly AlienFX isn't working and can't be toggled with the Fn + Print Screen combo. Also slightly related, the laptop in Command Centre is shown as silver, unlike mine which is black.

Really? Nothing? I really don't want to tie up tech support if it's an easy fix.

Check whether you've install the drivers from dell support website. I guess your fresh install refers to using the "Alienware window 7 64 bit" disc. The disc doesn't come with the drivers. You have to manually install yourself.

Everything Alienware currently on my system has come from the M11XR2 drivers page as you are correct, the Alienware recovery disc did not include any Alienware software on it. (Which is the way I prefer it, honestly) Command Centre is working, but it's pretty patchy. Things like facial recognition are working like they always did, it's just Touch and FX that were affected. I think I'm going to call up support tomorrow.
