M17x r4 sudden shutdown & won't turn on
I was shocked and disappointed when my Alienware shuts down. And won't turn on anymore.
I did the 30 second troubleshooting tips but unsuccessful.
I'm working & temporary living in Calgary, but I am in my vacation at the moment here in the Philippines. I can't find any service center here (Philippines).
I ordered and paid my m17x r4 through Dell Online late January.
Having said that, I am using my m17x r4 for just 2 months at least. I am using a 18" Targus Cooling pad and a Power Surge Protector... therefore there isn't an overheating issue might arise...
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN... help please. Thanks in advance.

Please help me understand if you see any LED lit on the computer?

I tried and tried those tips on the video but didn't worked out at all... didn't lit up.. nor there's nothing "inside" works...
The AC Adapter has green light but everytime I connected it in the M17x r4 port which is located at the back of the laptop the "green light" on the AC Adapter turned off... :(

That might mean that there is a short in the motherboard. I would suggest that as soon as you get back to the country where you purchased it you should call in and have it sent in to the depot to have it fixed.

We have the same machine bought about the same time. The original has already been replaced. This one had a quirk that it would shut down by itself every month or so. Now it is every week or so. while it is off all the fans go on so I assume is a thermal issue which it is impossible since I keep the room at 65F. Once it goes the only thing I found works is to unplug the power and leave it alone for 20 minutes . when you re-conect the power it starts by itself so the power switch is locked in an on position. Power down with the button let it rest a bit and retry. I just reported this to Alienware including the pretty clear Thermals malfunction since when you boot up after this the thermals are not giving any reasonable values. Right clicking on the thermal icon on your status bar and clicking Thermal controls the correct temperatures and fan percentage appear.
