My Alienware x51 (late 2012 model) is having a few problems...
Not sure what model information i need to give to get some help from the community, but i cant talk to tech support because my warranty is up, and i dont have proper phone service set up yet.
Anywhom, this is my problem:
a few months ago i had an issue where the DVI-D cable was plugged in and yet the screen was still black, i solved the issue for a day by replacing the CMOS battery and then when i booted up the PC again (the next day) the screen would not show up. I tried on a different monitor that i was sure worked and it didnt work again, so i ordered and installed a new graphics card (GeForce GT640) after the install, it worked but would not launch windows, so i re-installed through AlienRespawn. When it was done, it loaded and made me do the initial setup for windows, but when i finally signed in, it said I might have bought a counterfeit version of windows. On the C:/ drive, i still have the Windows.old file but i dont know if it is of any use. Aside from that, i've been using it since and just recently, it has had a problem with the internet saying it is connected, but very slow, however, i can not connect to any online service.

I installed the latest BIOS (A12) for my x51 and it didnt do much, just wanted to add this because I thought it might help someone with this issue.
Can anyone help?

Nevermind, I found my Windows 7 Home Premium key on the sticker on the back of the tower, thanks for the help with the WLAN card problem, it had come back the day after I fixed the wiring between my router and modem, but I reseated the WLAN card, and it works like new now! Thank you so much for your help!

Run an internet speed test
and show me the result.
Also, after you've done that.
Turn off the system, try and reseat the WLAN card and ensure that the antennae are properly connected.
If possible try and run a test whilst running on wired internet as well.

Simply replaced the Cat 5 cable between the Router and the Modem, fixed the problem and many of the other internet based problems. Still need help with the "Counterfeit Windows 7" though...
