Reinstall Win 10 to SSD
I purchased an Alienware 17 laptop within Win 10 system and recently got a SSD of 512gb. I want to reinstall the win 10 to my ssd newly placed in the hhd. Can I use Alienware respawn to back up data? Also, as I don't have CD key of Win10, can I reinstall win 10 into ssd without activation keys by using Alienware respawn? Does anyone have the tutorial of it? Thank you guys.

If you bought the Alienware 17 with Win10 pre-installed then my understanding is the activation code (keys) are set in the Bios and will automatically re-activate windows. I am not sure what others may say, but I would be inclined to clone a complete copy of your existing system and hard drive using a proprietry backup and restore programme, just to be on the safe side. Yes, thank you. I am gonna use Alienware Respawn to clone my existing system to an external hard drive, then use the hard drive to reinstall the win 10. I hope it will work.

yes thank you. I purchased 850 Evo before the 950 pro coming out. I am considering 950 pro as my next ssd in the laptop. Thank you.
