DELL Warranty Services issue

Vostro 3420

Vostro 3420

Under Warranty, Dell said my laptop registered  under company name of ST xxxxx, so I emailed. DELL with attached file of DELL PACKING LIST that is my personal laptop as document proof, DELL still keep saying under company name of ST xxxxx therefore WARRANTY IS INVALID.

Model VOSTRO 3420

Dell Service Tag: ***personal info was removed***

 

Anyone can help? how to complain this case? IF DELL dragging 1 year later still accused me my laptop registered under company name of ST xxxxx, then my laptop issue can never be resolved, worse case was I extended warranty till year 2027 when purchased this DELL Laptop!

hi, Chino de Oro​,

just received email from dell notification. and confirmed from Dell support hotline, also with email,  that laptop ownership transferred. successfully. dell engineer. will contact. me next Monday. to arrange servicing of laptop.

this case closed. thanks.

This is user to user base community.  We may help with providing computer troubleshooting and suggestion for system upgrade.  If the issue was/is assigned a case, continue to work with warranty support as they are the one make decision.

Resolution such as ownership transfer could be suggested but it's unsure to work in your case.  There seems to be missing information from your post.  If you were the original purchaser, then you should have the invoice of the order under your name.  Where was the name of a company come from? 

The title of your post also was in contrary from information presenting of your case.  When Dell warranty verified information for ascertain the ownership to protect the real owner, that is considered excellent service and expected from their customers.

You may want to edit your post to remove your personal information per code of conducts.

hi, Chino de Oro​,

the DELL PACKING LIST showed my name and home address, so already a proof of personal laptop NOT company name, I moved house last year, not easy to dig out invoice, what is the difference from showing invoice instead of DELL PACKING LIST, same information as my name and home address ?

I followed instructions from DELL SUPPORT to change the ownership SUCCESSFULLY, But DELL WARRANTY SECTION emailed Me ownership  INVALID, then Dell SUPPORT KEEP  saying REGISTERED AS COMPANY NAME. I PROVIDED DELL PACKING LIST AS A PROOF ALREADY, WHAT ELSE CAN. I DO?, THE DELL SYSTEM. SHOWING. REGISTERED ownership AS COMPANY NAME WAS NOT MY FAULT, WHY ACCUSED ME, WHY ASKED ME TO FIND PREVIOUS. OWNER?I BOUGHT THIS LAPTOP FROM Dell online, UNLESS Dell SOLD ME A SECOND HAND LAPTOP from PREVIOUS OWNER REGISTERED  AS COMPANY NAME, THEN, AGAIN, DELL SHOULD ANSWERED TO ME WHY SO, AND NOT PUSHED THE RESPONSIBILITY. OF WRONG ownship to me as a legally paid full price new laptop as an individual. so dell should solved the mistake and apologize to me, why as a valid legally owner of laptop. me being blamed and accused by Dell?

 

are you from Dell customer care? I called and searched Dell website, but no customer care number or email address?

As pointed out from the first sentence from my post, am a community user, not work for Dell.  You have posted your case here with personal information on a public forum.  Our community users are supporting each others, mainly for upgrade and repair systems out of warranty but needing help.

When you log in to the account you used to place the order, you should be able to see the purchase invoice.  Dell warranty support agent can only check and verify information in customer account but they can not explain why the original purchaser info does not match your info because it was filled out by original customer when placing the online order.

Just want to point out to you that only you have the information and as long as that information is verifiable, pretty much Dell agents with common sense would assist you to resolve the issue.  By posting questions of your case here does not resolve the issue.

I wished to removed my personal. info, but could not.

anyone. can advised after. few minutes, how to edit locked post?

if possible, please help , the title "DELL Warranty Services is very bad" change to 

''DELL Warranty Services".
