Upgrading my Processor On the Alienware Aurora R3
Hi i would like to upgrade my current processor Interl(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Do i need to buy anything extra? or can i just change the processor thats all??
Is it possible to upgrade to a i7-4770k?

Hi. Your Aurora R3 'is' an R3 because the motherboard accepts a Gen3 Intel socket LGA 1155 cpu & the 2600 is the top cpu, np bios update is available for a 3770k & to upgrade to 4770k you'd need a new aftermarket mthrbrd (Asus/MSI/Giga etc).
