Windows 7 install Aurora R4

Have to reinstall my OS, I get the load driver error message "A required CD/DVD device driver is missing".  WTH? It's working off the cd/dvd drive now!  I've set the BIOS to UEFI on the cd/dvd drive, no help!  Any ideas?

Set BIOS to UEFI and AHCI.

Win7 DVD should now boot properly and install should run.

That worked, Thank you!

It's an Aurora R4 ~ Intel i7 3820 overclocked to 4.2 ghz ~ 16GB ram ~ 500GB SSD & 1TB main ~ GeForce GTX 680 ~ Dell UM2412 monitor.

The reason I got into this problem in the first place, I was trying to speed up the hard drive transfer by assigning them a RAID value. I knew all data would be lost, but didn't think it would be a problem to re-install the operating system, little did I know!  Thanks again!

Hi Boospa,

For you to get the software that came with your computer, just go and register your system in My Dell Downloads.

Just reinstalled win 7 on my alienwere aurora also lost my stuff

I called Dell they told me that yes reinstalling Windows 7 will wipe your computer

But they told me that I should be able to reinstall all the drivers from the dell site

And it should be like new again hopefully. Im going to try in the morning!

Wish I would of looked it up first. .. saved me the trouble and the worrying.
