Most likely it will be a bad video driver or a bad video card. Could be the onboard vid to but I dought it. One of these 3 is gonna be top of the list. Start with updated drivers for the video card..ether update to a newer version or if there is none go back a version. You may want to use something like CCleaner to remove all of the old files before the update.
If that doesn't work then you should try testing the video card or since it's a new system give Dell tech support a call after reinstlling the drivers. They may have you do the drivers again but after that you will be looking at a card replacment.

I was getting an occasional blue screen with the 116 Bugcheck code. It wasn't happening while gaming - happened while system was relatively idle - freeze then bsod.

What seemed to fix mine was uninstalling of the Dell nvidia drivers and the install of the latest nvidia 500 series drivers (which work fine). It is possible that the reinstall of the nvidia driver did the trick - dunno but it has been over a week now and she is running without incident. FYI - I worked with Dell support on this.

I tried to install another driver and now I don´t have any problems. But I agree that the problem should be fixed.

Greetings from Germany!
We also have the same issue with our X51 i7 GTX555 and the nvlddmkm.sys BSODs. At least twice a day - when the machine is nearly on idle. I don't want to remove the orignial GTX555 NVIDIA drivers and installing the generic ones.
Dell, when can we expect mitigation? It is _really_ annoying. Too bad for a brand new expensive device!

bsod code 0x116 can mean the the card isn't getting enough power also.

If your problem is like the OPs ( same crash dump ) then uninstall and reinstall the updated Dell display drivers.

The driver for 555 give me bluescreens.
I did this, uninstalled 555 drivers and installed of the latest nvidia 500 series drivers.
I can´t fix it at another way. I want it to work with the correct drivers. There is not even be downloaded from NVIDIA's website.
