my m14x does not have a normal idle temp it keeps jumping around 45C to 60c on both cores when under a 10%+ load (just web browsing) and got to 87c today just from playing a few mins of BF3....i got 4 fans on this m14x and its still gettin way to hot. (this is abnormal temps for my CPUs)

core 1 got to 87c

core 2 got to 89c

gpu got to 71c (this is normal temp for my gaming)

You can check out these tips to keep temps under control. But re-pasting will definitely drop the temps on any given system.

If you're unfamiliar with pulling things apart, get an ice cube trey or something similar with lots of compartments.

One of the worst things with a laptop is many of the screws look the same but are slightly differing lengths so keeping them separate and in order will help. So number the pots 1-10 that way as you put each thing back in order :)

Use the service manual as an additional resource when you're disassembling the system.
