m15x won't boot, not even showing bios
Hello! I have been a long time Dell customer. I have a Alienware M15x laptop. Today I put my laptop into sleep mode, and then when I went to turn it back on, it just will not start. Even if I take out the battery and try to restart it, the fans go like it is turning on but the screen will not turn on and it never goes any further. Normally I can fix almost any problem myself, but if I can't even get to a bios screen, I am at a loss. Figures it happens after my warranty is up. Do you think I am going to have to scrounge up enough money to get the warranty renewed to get it fixed? I was reading elsewhere that the problem could be a bad motherboard.
Not sure if it relevant but I was also having a problem with the motherboard saying that my battery suffered permanent failure, even tho I replaced it with a dell refurbished genuine battery that was the correct replacement model, I still had it yelling at me about it when I turned my computer on.

I apologize, been busy with my college networking class.
The lights and fans come on for a second then the lights stay on and the fans shut off.
After fiddling with it for the past couple days because all of my homework is on it. I ended up taking the battery for the motherboard for about 5 minutes then putting it back in. It starts up now and doesn't stop and beep that my battery has experienced permanent failure.
Just it is booting up slower than it has in the past. Do you think I need to do anything else or check it off as being fixed?
From what I have seen is it is either the motherboard or windows 7 that failed to put the laptop to sleep correctly and thus caused it become stuck.

If you try the system without the battery and only connected to the ac adapter, what happens?

Yes I have tried all of that mentioned in the video. I also have tried it with and without the battery with the same results. I even tried to plug an external monitor into it to see if it is the screen that is broken.
The lights on the keyboard come on with the fans then nothing at all.

do the lights and the fans come on and stay on but nothing shows on the screen? or do they come on only for a few seconds and then turn off?
