Alienware 17 r4 - Battery drain under load

Hello everyone i have some issue,,,,
And I hope you will advise me what to do and kindly find me a solved for this case

I've purchased a a brand Alienware 17 r4 since 9 months and I'm experiencing a strange problem.
The laptop seems perfectly stable but under heavy load (e.g. whilst gaming) my battery drains to around 50% after 8 hours and around 95% after 2 hours even whilst plugged into the AC and my power adapter 330 watte .
Temps I do not know it's good or not  and go over up 75 -91 degrees C across the board.
This doesn't seem like normal behavior. Do you think this warrants an RMA?

Specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7820HK CPU @ 2.90GHz
memory : 32GB, DDR4, 2400MHz

Brother Your machine is making load. you should do general service of your machine

Disassemble  the machine Clean the heatsink fan and apply new thermal paste on the processor.

your machine will run smoothly and fast and your blue screen error will be disappear

FYI: I've already purchased this program iolo System Mechanic
Finished

1 x System Mechanic en-US - Alienware

https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/download-iolo-system-mechanic-2-year/apd/a7751587/software

The program has many functions ,,, Among these functions (PowerSense)
This function it was active

http://www.iolo.com/resources/articles/speed-up-your-pc-with-more-processor-power/

If this is the cause of the problem - the meaning of that my machine is not strong and you should consider the type of product sold,

Hi @muntaser_khuja,

Alienware 15 R3/15 R4/ and 17 R4/17 R5 may demonstrate system performance issues or battery drain even when the AC adapter is connected. It would happen during heavy load games (e.g. PUBG -PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS) or applications.

This is working as designed due to the hybrid power design on the Alienware 15 R3/15 R4 and 17 R4/17 R5 systems.   Under heavy loading environment, the system may require more power besides of AC adapter as to meet the system power requirement, and the battery would be triggered to provide the system a certain amount of power in this case. Therefore you may experience that the battery capacity keeps dropping even when the AC adapter is connected. If the remaining capacity is lower than 20%, battery would stop supporting the extra power requirement and cause system throttling (stuttering/lagging/throttling).

Battery capacity

Note

100%~94%

Hybrid power function is enabled.
Battery capacity will drop during heavy loading

94%~20%

Hybrid power function is enabled.
Battery capacity will stop dropping after drop about 5% battery capacity during heavy loading.

<20%

Hybrid function disable.
System will throttle during heavy loading and may cause performance issue

Hi @Alienware-Eimy,

Thank you for the statement and I'm happy to hear that it sounds like a "feature" rather than a defect of some sort but I expect it'll damage the battery over time. However, did you have any ideas or if anyone has any ideas how to turn it off it would be much appreciated

For me, this is my solution but I didn't try, do you advise me?
1- Undervolt your CPU core.

If I make undervolting doesn't resolve the issue then I wonder if it's some kind of new battery saving/maintenance feature? ,,, so Even undervolted CPU the battery will drain. makes no difference or ther are make difference ?

2- Limit your games' framerate

This is not a good solution But you must sacrifice ,,,  Frankness : I have a powerful device, strong performance and great specifications but in the end I can not increase the performance of the quality of the GPU due to the design of the device (hybrid power design)

Thank you

It cannot be disabled. This feature is added in the BIOS/motherboard and cannot be changed. Both of those could help, specially the undervolting.
