13 R2, motherboard failure, #2
The same thing has happened to me. The service center advised a urgent bios update. Now it wont switch on. They are telling me it is a dead motherboard.

Most likely, the units inability to keep itself cool under load has killed the 2nd unit. Just like the M15.. the 13 had a fundamental flaw in cooling. Lick your wounds, and buy another company's PC and hope you get a longer life from it. Or.. pay $600.
Complaining about a motherboard being proprietary in a laptop is hilarious. you DO realize.... ALL Laptop motherboards are proprietary? This aint a desktop PC.....
