15 R3, upgrading RAM from 8GB to 16GB?
I currently video edit a lot but I notice the extremely bad performance of Adobe Premiere 2018 on my laptop when working with bigger files and projects. I was hoping to increase my 8gb to 16gb of ram but I'm not that tech-savvy when it comes to hardware. Not sure of the compatibility of memory modules and such. I was hoping you guys could help me get a compatible memory module for my system and determine whether or not increasing ram from 8gb to 16gb will even make an impact considering my current processor and video card.
Taken from Dell Support:
System: Alienware 15 R3
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7300HQ (Quad Core, 6MB Cache, up to 3.5 GHz w/ Turbo Boost)
Video Card: NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GTX 1050 Ti with 2GB GDDR5
Memory Module (1 of 2): DUAL IN-LINE MEMORY MODULE, 8GB, 2400, 1RX8, 8G, DDR4, S
When checking the support site on what parts and accessories I can upgrade, it only shows this message "Sorry, Parts & Accessories may not be available for this product or this service is temporarily unavailable. Click the below link to find the compatible parts for your products." If you guys could (1) determine whether the ram upgrade will help my pc when it comes to video editing and (2) link me to a compatible memory module (one that can be shipped worldwide, because I'm in the Philippines), that will be great and I'd really appreciate it!
Thank you!

The specs for your system RAM follows. And Adobe recommends at least 16 GB for best performance. The additional RAM will help with the program you are running. 8 GB is really marginal for video intensive programs. And the RAM you have now is DDR4 2400.
821PJ 16GB, SODIMM, 2400MHz, 2Gx64, Unbuffered, DDR4, 260 pin, Dual Rank, 1.2V, Non-Error Correction Code
HYXPX 8GB, SODIMM, 2666MHz, 1Gx64, Unbuffered, DDR4, 260 pin, Single Rank, 1.2V, Non-Error Correction Code, Non-Encrypted
MKYF9 8GB, SODIMM, 2400MHz, 1Gx64, Unbuffered, DDR4, 260 pin, Single Rank, 1.2V, Non-Error Correction Code
