Hi @Momolo welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Laptop with no battery, is designed to happily function as a Desktop. This will give you time to get a replacement battery or continue to use Laptop as a Desktop. (It would be prudent to disconnect battery to confirm that there are no faults that would prevent Laptop being used as a Desktop.)
How to Check Battery Health Status.
The battery chemistry will continue to degrade battery performance and they are known to be a safety hazard. If the chemical products are released they will destroy you, the laptop and anything else that it comes into contact with. The battery should be carefully removed, and placed in a locked outbuilding, awaiting safe disposal. Handling swollen Lithium-ion batteries.
Search on internet for genuine OEM replacement battery with one year guarantee, Dell Part Number, DP/N 9NJM1 (99Wh) or DP/N 44T2R (68Wh). When new replacement battery arrives, check that the white label states the correct DP/N and look beneath the square matrix for Year/Month that is less than six months.
Please be aware that the Dell ac adapter's diagnostic tests will check to see if there is a valid battery, and refuse to charge a battery that fails this test.
Please consider other option of getting a Dell Notebook Power Bank which plugs into the DC-IN socket (as does the ac adapter), or into the USB-C socket, etc.
DC-IN Example: Dell Notebook Power Bank Plus (Barrel) - 65Wh - PW7015L
USB-C Example: Dell Notebook Power Bank Plus (USB-C) - 65Wh - PW7018LC

I would imagine it will work but you will likely have to deal with numerous errors from the BIOS (which you can disable) although the greater concern I'd have is battery expansion and the risk of fire or damage to the case.
I'd explore removing the battery for proper disposal or possibly, replacing the cells with fresh ones. It is within the realm of reason, if you can split the battery case open.

Hi @Momolo this is a video for 17 R4 Battery removal. The ideal would be to get the replacement battery and undertake the battery swap. Watch the video a few times. Be careful with plenty of elbow room, and do not rush. Place a towel between laptop and table surface, to ensure that the laptop lid, etc. does not get scratched.
