AGA, Nvidia RTX 30xx series issues
After following a series of threads on reddit and various other forums, it seems that there appears to be a compatibility issue with the AGA (Alienware Graphics Amplifier) and the RTX 3080 which has been reported by multiple users.
The issue seems to be neither related to the PSU (posters reported to have upgraded their system to 600W+ respectively) nor to the PCI 3.0 vs. PCI 4.0 discrepancy (there have been various tests in PC mags that actually compare performance across the two interfaces).
What I would be interested in is to know if Dell is working on the problem? In view of RTX 30xx series cards that are more suited to the AGA like the 3060 or 3070, if this can be fixed with a patch / driver update? When approximately a solution can be expected? Not rushing - especially looking at card availability - but would just be nice to know that they're looking into it.
