Alienware 17R4 Slow Boot, PCH running hot
Hi,
My Alienware 17R4 (I7 7820HK GTX 1080) is having slow boot problem. Before when I press the power button, the Alienware Logo appears almost instantly but now it takes like 20-30s( the lights and everything is up but the screen just stay black). I've tried updating the Kionix Drivers but it didn't work, disabling it also didn't work.
Also I would like to ask if it's normal for the PCH to run at about 61'C on Idle and 92'C on heavy load? Because after doing some research, a lot of people say that it's not safe for the PCH to go above 80'C and usually stay at 30-40'C on Iddle.
These problems seem to appear since I have the thermal problem (Dell couldn't perform a repair because I'm currently out of Canada for vacation).

Hi @NamNguyen191,
That may be part of what is causing it. Make sure you have the latest BIOS and no peripherals are connected to the PC at boot-up. Let me know over PM when you're back in Canada so that I can help you with any parts replacements you may require.
