Alienware Laptops, AGA, Time Spy, Fire Strike scores

ALL CREDITS DO NOT GO TO ME. THEY GO TO @Lojack84 AND HIMSELF ONLY.

Hi everyone, we wanted to create this post in the hopes that we can get a centralized post for Alienware Laptops and the AGA (Alienware Graphics Amplifier) results to help those of us that are on the fence to decide whether it's worth the investment, and for enthusiasts to compare results across cards. Once I have enough submissions I will create a post with a leaderboard as demonstrated below. Results Leaderboard, SYSTEM, CPU, AGA GPU, 3D Mark Time Spy score, 3D Mark Fire Strike score

Area-51m R2 = i9-10900k, Radeon 6900 XT, 19420
Area-51m R2 = i9-10900k, RTX 3090, 18134
Area-51m R1 = i7-9700k, RTX 3080 Ti, 15807
17 R4 = i7-7820HK, RTX 3080, 10928

Submitting your benchmarks Step 1) Running Time Spy and Fire Strike benchmarks. Although Time Spy is the go to for these sorts of benchmarks, not everyone wants to pay for the software so I have also included Fire Strike (which is Free) as a means for more people to contribute.

• Visit this link (3D Mark benchmark)

• Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Steam" under "For home use"

• On the right hand side you will see "Demo" download this.

• Open 3D Mark and click "Benchmarks" tab

• Scroll down underneath "For gaming PC's" and click Fire Strike/Time Spy

• Set "Include demo" to no (skip the demo, it's a time wasting video)

• When complete select "compare online"

• Copy the URL link to your results.

• Step 2) Submitting your results & questionnaire Copy and complete the below table into your response to this thread. System / Model Internal CPU External GPU (Include brand) Time Spy score, Time Spy result link, Fire Strike score, Fire Strike result link

Question 1: What modifications did you have to make to the AGA to get the GPU to fit?

Question 2: Was it plug & play or did you have to use a workaround?

Question 3: Did you replace the PSU, if so, did you have to make modifications to get it to fit?

Question 4: Was the benchmark ran using an external monitor? Thank you all in advance for taking the time and effort to submit your results.

Thank you Lojack84 for helping and I’ll make sure you get famous for it.

Quick Tip: If your laptop has voltage / charging issues, try shutting it down, unplugging power from laptop, hold power button down for 30 seconds to do a full reset!
