That system will run the i9-9900K -- are your running the latest firmware for it? It is 1.18.0. If not, reinstall the original CPU and update it. Then try the upgrade.
If you're on the latest UEFI firmware, did the CPU come from an authorized seller in a sealed Intel package, or as a used or bulk CPU from an unauthorized source (EBay, Amazon storefront, etc)?

Hi @WiCheSTeR welcome to this free user to user Alienware laptop discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Not all Alienware Area-51m motherboards will accept the Intel Core i9 9900K upgrade. (The i9 9900k has a different socket from the Intel Core i7 6800K Processor) Maybe need to replace the whole motherboard to support it.
Please share the Area-51m R1 or R2 motherboard specification. Thanks.

The Area 51m is a notebook computer and came with 8th or 9th generation Intel desktop CPUs -- not 7th.
Is this a notebook computer, or a desktop Area 51 system?
As for the rest, EBay is replete with plenty of sellers of altered or remarked CPUs, and given how fragile the LGA CPUs are, anything can happen to them when they're sold in used condition.
