Area-51m, various keys not working

Question

For about 2 months I have had an issue where these keys do not work: left Ctrl, FN, Windows key, ESC, F1-F7. For a while they would intermittently work, but now they don't work at all. I have updated to the latest BIOS of 1.7.3 and also reinstalled the OS. I've opened it up and don't see any pinching of the keyboard cable to the mobo.

I'm guessing now it must be a faulty keyboard. Any suggestions?

A tech had to come out and replace the keyboard.  All is working well now.  I appreciate the Dell Mod in here's fast response to me in getting this taken care of!

Hey man, sorry took me a while to respond. Actually my Area-51m has a bad motherboard which has to be replaced. The issue I was having is getting worse and it sounds to me like you could have a faulty keyboard. Because if they don't work at all anymore they probably went bad permanently. I would recommend contacting Dell Alienware Support. I have the Premium Support Plus and they are taking care of it under warranty.

I have the same issue after 3 years of usage. Until yesterday the keys stopped working for few minutes. Now they are dead. Unfortunately my warranty is expire and I can't replace the keyboard, but I'm not sure that this will help.

Did someone resolve this issue?
