Might have to send M15 r3 back...... :(
Totally in love with this machine, I’m on day 9 now but yesterday I clicked on overclock mode 1 to see what changes would happen but to my dismay you can’t disable it..... I don’t know if this is total coincidence but I noticed when I was in Steam app browsing something starts to rattle like a fan, click out it stops. Then that stopped but the rattle continued only when using alien command centre, unplug the power lead and the rattling stops!
Is there a way to fix this or turn off overclock? I tried creating a new profile as you can disable that one but still shows a tick on it.
The thermal profiles are daft too, the one that cools the most is performance which is 5/5 for our/gpu but there’s nothing to give 3/5 and 3/5 fans for example if it’s a hot day

sorry the above was for another issue! Cheers, actually the answer is you just need to goto the home screen in AWCC and select overclock there, oddly it doesnt have the option in the profile settings

Just go inside the bios and disable preformance.

Hi,
Not quite sure how to do that, why would performance mode make the laptop rattle when the command center app is being used? It also does it sometimes when playing youtube videos, really weird, I dont want to send it back but I'll give one more call into the tech team (who are the main saving grace here, they are 10/10) and see what comes of that, otherwise I'm happy.
I would say that the laptop is hot to use even for normal browsing on 'cool'? mode if your thinking of only using the keyboard, really does need to have a separate keyboard, I cant get the temperature down to a comfortable level, not even on cool mode.
Also the thermal profiles are a little daft, so if you get a hot day, the only thing that will stop hitting above 85 degrees is performance mode with is 5/5 cpu/gpu and full fans....id rather turn the processors down and be have fan down another level etc.

But if your speakers are rattling, that is causing the problem.
because you said it would be rattling while your watching a video right?
check if you installed the latest drivers for your speakers and make sure you didn’t set it at a bit rate higher than 24bit 192000Hz
