m15 R2, problem with Tron lights, alien heads, battery and query rollback bios

Hello, I hope you can help me with the following questions:

When I turn on the laptop, a message appears in which it says that the battery has had several problems that it is damaged and must be replaced (I have already made the purchase, the spare part arrives these days), but I have noticed that both the Tron and the alien head on the lid and on the power head (the color is very weak) of the laptop do not turn on, and my doubt is if this is due to battery failure. Or maybe it is a bios problem since it was updated through windows update and at one of those moments I saw that the lights in the back do not turn on, the bios version is 1.21.0, I want to know if I can downgrade to one much older version and be able to rule out the bios problem, and in the case of being able to do it, which bios version is the right one to avoid leaving the laptop useless.
