m15 R1, updated, random clicking noise
I just updated my alienware m15 r1 and now there is a random clicking noise.

sorry late reply. I was replying in my email and kind of busy at work.The sound went out after 2 failed system restore.

Even I am having this same issue but I was not able to resolve it. @gelo007 can you please help me out with the steps you performed to get this issue sorted.

It seems like a driver issue. A fresh install of windows can fix all software issues but I recommend you reinstall the sound driver and monitor your thermals to see if the fan is making the sound.

I checked and it is definitely neither a fan nor a speaker issue but something related to CPU. I also monitored the thermals but I am getting the sound even when the CPU temperature is below 55C. I will try to clean install Windows by making a partition (dual boot), just to validate if clean install helps.

I don’t know why a cpu would be making that noise because nothing is moving unless it’s an electrical issue. I just think the reinstall should help. A clean install actually.
