m15 R1 - warning for the owners!

Latest Windows 10 drivers update forcing to update our rig bios to 2.4.1.

As well as 2.3.1, this version provides up to 20% drop in performance!

Check you BIOS version, and roll back to 2.1.1 (fastest one, but a bit loud by fans) or 2.2.1 (-5% to 2.1.1, but more balanced) if you need you gear working at full throttle.

Hey man

Is there any way to roll back the BIOS to 2.2.1?
I've already updated to 2.4.1

, auto installing BIOS' seems incredibly dangerous considering what can happen if you have a really bad flash. The poor people out of warranty get a bricked machine with no support for something they didn't have control over.

Easy, but not so easy.

Frist, download bios from Downloads page (see "older version" link at information page).

Second, just run it and flash - Dell didn't block bios downgrade in this model.

But before (zero, heh!) block Firmware driver update, or it will be installed again as well as update you bios back to 2.4.1.

Here are MS page about how to block update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3183922/how-to-temporarily-prevent-a-windows-update-from-reinstalling-in-windo (install troubleshooter and block "system firmware" driver from updating).
