m15 R2, BSOD's on power on, not on restart
Dear All,
This is my first time I post something on Dell Community page, hopefully I am not breaking the page rule....
First, I would like a help with an issue that I was facing for more than 10 days.
My laptop is brand new, bought it 2 months ago = Alienware m15 R2, i9, 64GB ram, RTX 2080 Super, Windows 10
I am facing an issue with BSOD error every time I turn off my laptop and turn it on again, I wait until the 100% completion with different error messages every time. Sometimes showing:
- kernel data in page error
- win32kbase.sys
- system service exception
- critical process died
And so on.
However, just to mention that if I do a restart, no BSOD appears and everything works fine. Just the BSOD is showing up once I do a normal shut down and turn on again.
Kindly note that I did all the necessary tests and troubleshoot:
updating the windows, drivers, NVIDIA driver, all the necessary commands in CMD (i will not list them all), Installing a fresh windows after I've deleted everything and reinstall the win10 again, testing my HDD and SSD using crystaldisk and both of them are good without any failure, testing my RAMS via MEMORY DIAGNOSTIC TOOL with 0 errors, no issue with the temperature at all.... I dont know what to do!!
I noticed one thing in the event viewer, error with ntoskrnl.exe

Hi @Joe. H thank you for an excellent opening post.
The difference between Restart and Start/Shut Down, is that Restart does not use Fast Startup. Windows 10 Shut Down, shuts down all programs and files you have open, but the Windows Fast Startup is saved to disk, so that Fast Startup is ready to boot up quickly the next time. If there is a fault with a hardware driver or similar, the Shut Down process does not clear that fault.
Please use the on-board Check Disk to find and fix any file errors on the OS(C:) drive. If this problem is not fixed, one or more plug-in components has a fault. Disconnect all plug in components, then Shut Down, subsequent Start/Shut Down should not give Blue screen. Then reconnect only one plug-in component at a time and Shut Down, to find which plug-in component is causing the Start's Blue screen problem.
If fault is not found, please disable Fast Startup in your computer's power settings. Thank you.

Thanks Crimsom for your reply,
Well the on board check disk didnt fix it.
So basically, it is mainly a hardware issue....
I would like to understand what do you mean by (Disconnect all plug in components, then Shut Down)
