Hi @Siddhi Thakrar  welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.

The Dell Alienware m15 R3 OEM Original 6-Cell 86Wh Battery is Dell Part Number 69KF2. Dell battery warranty expires when new laptop is more than 12 months old. If there are Battery problems within the laptop's first 12 months, ask Dell Product Support to raise a fault ticket so that this problem can be addressed.

For the typical user, noticeable reduction in run time generally will be observed after 18 to 24 months. For a power user, reduction in run time generally may be experienced within 18 months. Dell recommends buying a new Dell OEM laptop battery when the run time does not meet your needs. Dell has decided not to supply replacement batteries.

It may not be an issue at all.  You haven't mentioned your power settings -- are you using the Intel GPU or the discrete one?  And which GPU do you have (they range from a relatively economical AMD GPU to a power hungry RTX GPU)?  And which display?

The battery runtime of just about any gaming system will be its Achilles' heel - 2-3 hours is not unusual for a system like this.

Would 2-3 hours be on battery saver mode?

If you have an FHD screen, a low-end GPU, the larger 6-cell battery and turn off the network adapter and dim the screen and slow the CPU, you may do better that 2-3 hours.

Under ordinary conditions of brightness, with the wifi adapter or bluetooth turned on, or with a more power intensive GPU or QHD screen, etc., runtime will be lower.

Hi @Siddhi Thakrar  what is the power supply status, is the ac adapter being used and is the battery being fully charged? Please create a Power Efficiency Report to check and resolve any energy-related problems.

Hi @Siddhi Thakrar thank you for sharing update that their are no energy efficiency problems.

Having Booted into windows and waited about five minutes, so only the background processes are running at low level, does the Task Manager - Performance tab say the CPU usage has reduced to about 2 to 4% Utilisation and are the other system attributes at low level, or zero?

Then go to Task Manager - Details tab and click on title of the CPU column so that high usage is at the top. Is the System Idle Process the first entry, with a high value of about 98% or higher?

Please download the free Malwarebytes, click on search for all the malware options, run and look at result to see if any Malware, Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs), etc. have been found. On the Malwarebytes web page, scroll down to the AdwCleaner application, another useful utility to ensure system provides best performance.
