m17 R3, no warranty, no power
Disclaimer: I bought the laptop open box from Amazon.
So I had my alienware m17 r3 for just over a year and it suddenly stopped charging. It's not the ac adapter fault (I tested). I was gaming one day and suddenly power just stopped coming in and now its out of battery. Plugged in and everything, it won't turn on. So I brought it to the local Geek squad and Memory Express. They both tell me Dell does not sell their parts to 3rd party services so the only option I have is to contact Dell. Gave them a ring and gave them my service tag and everything, got transferred to 3 different departments because it wasn't under my name or whatever, and some issues was showing up where they cant see the warranty. Opened a whole case and investigated for over 2 business days. Just got an email back saying the laptop was sold with NO WARRANTY and there's nothing they can do. So I guess my question is what do I do now with the $2000 laptop that won't turn on and no services exists to give it a diagnostic let alone fix it?

There probably isn't much you can do with a system you've had over a year as far as the seller is concerned.
First process:
Unplug the system and disconnect the battery from the system board. Hold the power button for 30 sec.
Verify that the LED on the power adapter is ON before you plug in the notebook end.
Plug in the notebook end and verify that the LED on the adapter/DC plug stays on. If it goes off, there is a short in the system -- check the USB ports and DC jack first. If they appear OK, you are almost certainly in for a replacement system board.
If the LED stays on, try powering up. If the system will, reconnect the battery and try again. If the powerup succeeds on DC input alone, replace the battery. If it still fails, you're in for a replacement system board.
There is a number of boards on EBay at the moment, ranging from about under $700 for a low end CPU/GPU to about twice that for an i9/high end GPU -- but you're in for a replacement system board.

Dell says "For the typical user, noticeable reduction in run time generally will be observed after 18 to 24 months. Laptop without battery is designed to run as if it is Desktop on ac adapter power. Having disconnected the battery, does the Alienware m17 R3 laptop without battery run on ac adapter power? If yes, search internet to purchase new replacement Dell OEM 6-Cell 86Wh Battery DP/N 69KF2 or Dell OEM 3-Cell 56Wh Battery DP/N 8FCTC. Check white label beneath square matrix, manufacture year/month date should be less than six months.
