x15 R2, possible solution of reversed magnetic lid action issue

Today the magnetic sensor acts reversed, the screen is only on when I put my magnetic piece near the sensor area. After trying a lot, I figured out that the sensor may stick on one side. I put my magnetic piece on the opposite of that field, or maybe the edge of the computer, which is about the bottom right of the panel where the keyboard and touch bar are placed. And then magically the sensor reversed to act normal! You can give it a try if you meet the same issue.

Background: I've got an Apple watch, and I changed to a magnetic band recently, when I wear it on my right wrist. When it is close to the field right to the touch bar, the screen went down and acts as the lid closing. So I usually tried to avoid this situation.

The Service Tag that you provided to our agents via private messaging is for a m15 R4, not a x15 R2?

Are you saying that you had a magnetic issue "prior" to using the Apple watch magnetic band?

Laptop shuts down, enters hibernation/sleep mode or loses video when magnetic objects are placed on the computer

Note: Standard and best practices with all electronics are to keep magnets away from them. This applies equally to devices that emit magnetic interference. We recommend you keep anything that might activate the sensor in your computer away from the laptop.

Affected Product = G Series, Alienware, Inspiron, Latitude, Vostro, XPS, Mobile Workstations
