Avamar Administrator install problems
So I've been given the Avamar Admin directory from another user.
So when i run:
"c:\Program Files (x86)\avs\administrator\6.1.0.402\bin\mcgui.bat"
I get:
The system cannot find the path specified.
So I looked at the batch file and found that it was looking at %1\bin\javaw
I changed that %1 to:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7
Still same error.
This is a Windows 7 Java 7 update 21 box. I'd also be glad if I can get the web interface if that is possible.
Thanks.

Did you run the installer on the computer on which you are attempting to start on the GUI?
You can access the web interface at http://AvamarGridFQDN/em/.

You can download the installer for the GUI from an Avamar grid utility node. Go to the FQDN on the utility node in a web browser and click on "Documents and Downloads" at the bottom of the page. Under "Windows for x86 (32 bit)" click on "Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008" and then click on the link for the "AvamarConsoleMultiple-windows-x86-[verison].exe" Save/run that EXE and it will install the GUI. You can also launch the GUI (aka Administrator) from Enterprise Manger (URL in my first post).

Ok I downloaded and installed the Console software, but now it is asking for JRE 5.
I've got JRE 7 installed, how can i get the software to see this?

The JRE your version of Avamar shipped with should be in the same folder on the utility node from which you downloaded the GUI installer. Do you have a 32-bit JRE installed already (the GUI is a 32-bit application)? What version of Avamar is this?
You can also try using the /em URL on the utility node to web start the GUI.
