However, in this case both of the statements are true. Support for NAT in Avamar / Data Domain integrated environments was implemented in Avamar 7.1. However, the new token-based authentication mechanism for Data Domain connections that was introduced in Avamar 7.3 does not support clients behind a NAT device. If you are planning to use Avamar 7.3 and Data Domain with NAT clients, token-based authentication for DD will need to be disabled.
