Avamar client for Windows 2000 SP4 and SQL2000 Enterprise SP1
Hi,
We are currently running Avamar 6.1.1-87, I need to backup a Windows 2000 SP4 client running SQL2000 Enterprise SP1, I think Avamar 4.1 support it. Can Avamar 4.1 client work with Avamar 6.1 server? if so where can I download the agents?

Support can provide you with the latest version of the client for Windows 2000 if you open an SR and request it. I believe the filesystem plug-in will work but is not supported. The SQL plug-in may not work. Important changes have been made in the SQL plug-in even in fairly recent versions.

Avamar 4.1 has reached end of service life and Avamar does not guarantee compatibility for more than two revisions back (so a 6.1 server will only support 5.0 or newer clients out of the box). You will need to get in touch with your account team and they can file a "request for product qualification (RPQ)" on your behalf.
