Backup File Extension Report
I would like to be able to run a report that shows the number and size of particular file extensions being backed up. Example, how many .jpg files we are backing up. I have looked at the provided reports in Avamar Administrator but don't see anything there or even any option to create a custom report. We are running version 5 of Avamar. If anyone has any idea or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello, I don’t have any avamar here nowto check it exactly , but as far as I remember, you can find these informations in activities, when you rightclick on activity and there is option “view statistic” , there is several tab I think you can find here what you are looking for. Same informations are displayed in Management when you choose exact backup and againt right clict on it.

I've pasted some screenshots from the Backup Management window showing this:
Note that the report only shows "resource intesive" files but you can see the file types for these on a backup by backup basis.
I'm not aware of a way to get aggregate statistics for large numbers of clients / backups.
