Customer cannot kick off a user directed rman backup
Our Customer cannot kick off a user directed rman backup.....
currently getting the following errors ::--->
avtar Warning <9904>: Cannot create log /opt/AVMRclnt/var/avtar.log
avtar Warning <5498>: Cannot write dispatcher table file /opt/AVMRclnt/var/big-wigs-our-us.net-27000.dtb (code 13: Permission denied
Looks to be a permission issue...
Is it just a simple chmod 777 of /opt/AVMRclnt/var ?

Hello,
Could you please provide detailed logs ? Based on the logs you have provided I can not find any solution. Or please open a service request with support team.

Joe,
Check the avoracle.pdf doc. The permissions / setup are a little different between 6 and 7. I've not done the 7 setup, but in 6.x, it was a chmod 777 of $AVAMAR_INSTALL/var. With 7.x, it doesn't (from a quick glance at the doc) seem to require that large a hammer.
