How generate a small log file after backup with some information...
Hi,
With AVAMAR, I want backup a server under AiX 5.2.
The UNIX Administrator ask to me :
- after the backup, he want a small text file for log with "number of files, number of MB and status of backup".
A script to concatenate all tasks night's log. He want's just this info...
How can i do make this file automatically ?

Hi,
you can create "avtar.cmd" flag file avtar.cmd to involve verbose, debug, stats, expires
Create "avtar.cmd" file in Avamar's /var directory and place below parameters on it ...
--verbose
--stats

See the System Admin Manual, Reporting & Appendix D, for using the MCS Database Views. v_activities_2 should give him everything he wants, if he knows how to use ODBC and SQL.
